'It's probably an unconscious gesture on their part but it subtly adds to their overall sensual appeal'

Gorgeous hand and wrist movements are the epitome of elegant feminine styling. They add tremendous allure - both to us as dancers and in our daily lives.

Six belly dance hand moves

Subtle body language

I always tend to notice if a woman moves her hands with slow purposeful energy; it lends a certain je ne sais quoi to the way she is showing up in the world. It can be as simple as artfully turning her wrist as she passes something to someone or softly caressing the air as she dances.

Star quality

It’s fascinating to clock how ultra-feminine starlets such as Kylie Minogue, (check out her Aphrodite and Showgirl tours) and before her Marilyn Monroe, use their hands and wrists in a captivating way. It’s probably an unconscious gesture on their part but it subtly adds to their overall sensuous appeal.

Inspired by the ocean

To master gorgeous hands my inspiration comes from beneath the ocean, where tendrils of seaweed, grasses and coral look mesmeric as they ripple, wave and dance against the tide.

This awesome sight holds the key to mastering beautiful hands. We can imagine we are pushing against the resistance of the ocean; the momentum of the waves creating slow, purposeful, undulating energy in our wrists, hands and fingers.
